A Big Thank you to MJC’s Student Specialist Jonathan Arias and Cassandra Ramirez of Fremont Elementary School for coordinating a wonderful visit today at MJC’s East Campus in the Media & Performing Arts Center.
The students , teachers and chaperons from Fremont had a wonderful time taking four tours of our Music & Performing Arts Media Center which included a stops at the MJC Art Gallery, The Costume Shop, The Scene Shop and our Mainstage Auditorium. Our guests played around with costumes with Costume Designer, Anne Shanto, learned about safety and stage lighting from Kevin Saunders and how to build sets and props with Ty Helton.
Our guests were also able to get a private tour of our current show in the Art Gallery, student pieces from, The Celebration of the Humanities, MJC’s Annual Spring Contest. Everyone was very impressed with what our students have created!
A special THANK YOU to MJC Arts, Humanities, & Communication Staff, Kevin Saunders, Anne Shanto, Ty Helton, Tiffany Spencer & Jacquelin Wingett for supporting this awesome community outreach opportunity! We couldn’t have done it without you!
